The Alexander Mountain fire continues to impact the Loveland area and consequently,
TEF has decided to cancel the 2024 Scheer Fund Golf Tournament scheduled for this
Friday, August 2. There will not be a rescheduled date for 2024.
The golf course is approximately a mile from the current evacuation zone and in the
interest of the compromised air quality and the safety of golfers, staff and volunteers,
cancellation is the best step to take.
Thompson Education Foundation honors the legacy of Dr. Stan Scheer and continues his spirit of generosity through the Scheer Student Opportunity Fund. The Scheer Student Opportunity Fund provides gap funding for Thompson School District students to embrace individual academic, leadership, recognition and extracurricular opportunities that would otherwise be inaccessible due to financial need.
We are excited for our district staff and local community members to come together in a fun event that will provide further opportunities for TSD students.
All proceeds from the golf tournament benefit TEF’s Scheer Student Opportunity Fund.
