Educator of the Year Awards
FORM CODE: EDUCATOR
The 2021 nomination window is closed.
Each year, TEF offers the opportunity for people in the community to nominate a teacher or Thompson School District staff person they feel exemplifies excellence in education. Awards are given in the following categories:
Elementary Teacher of the Year (early childhood - grade 5)
Secondary Teacher of the Year (grade 6 - Grade 12)
Principal of the Year
TSD Staff of the Year (Classified, APT, Nutrition Services, Counseling, Transportation, etc.)
2020 has been an incredibly challenging year in education and we know each TSD educator and staff member has gone above and beyond their regular job description. We are excited to learn how the person you may nominate has risen to meet the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. If you knew or worked with this person before March 2020, we are equally excited to hear how they excelled in their educator or staff role before COVID-19.
2021 Educator of the Year Recipients
The annual Educators of the Year awards are supported by King Buick GMC
Educator of the Year sponsor, King Buick GMC, feels the best way to give back to the community is through education support: building strong programs that will produce a highly trained workforce that can increase innovation and energy for American manufacturing. To honor Thompson School District educators, King Buick GMC provides car leases for 60 days to educator of the year winner in each categories and a 24 month car lease to the overall TEF Educator of the Year winner.
