Educator of the Year Awards

Every year, TEF offers the opportunity for people in the community to nominate a teacher or Thompson School District staff person they feel exemplifies excellence in education. Awards are given in the following categories:

  • Elementary Teacher of the Year (early childhood - grade 5)

  • Secondary Teacher of the Year (grade 6 - Grade 12)

  • Principal of the Year

  • TSD Staff of the Year (Classified, APT, Nutritican Services, Counseling, Transporation, etc.)

Educator of the Year sponsor, King Buick GMC, feels the best way to give back to the community is through eduction support: building strong programs that will produce a highly trained workforce that can increase innovation and energy for American manufacturing. To Honor Thompson School District educators, King Buick GMC provides a new loaner car for 60 days to each teacher of the year winner in all categories and a 24 month new loaner car to The TEF Educator of the Year.
